Qualifications
Scott graduated from Massey University in 2006, was registered as a valuer in 2009 and achieved ANZIV status in 2010.
Scott has considerable experience in the Warkworth – Mangawhai areas across residential and commercial sectors, and also undertakes select valuation assignments throughout Northland.
The Company
In 2009, Scott acquired Simon Thompson’s Warkworth-based valuation practice (est. 1989) adding a substantial commercial base to his portfolio. After working within one of Auckland’s largest valuation firms, Scott saw the opportunity to establish a boutique valuation practice away from the bustling city and established Morison Valuation in 2014.
Personal Expertise
Much of Scott’s time is spent meeting with clients, and researching and analysing rental and sales data to stay abreast of current trends in the market. His valuation assignments typically include rent reviews, pre-purchase / pre-sale, mortgage, insurance, and asset valuations for financial reporting. Scott has experience as an expert witness in court proceedings, arbitration hearings, EQC land damage valuations, and compensation valuations under the Public Works Act 1981.
